Outrageous Omicron History

 

After numerous years of exceptional work and complete devotion to the Hermandad of Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Latinas Poderosas Unidas Inc., on April 10, 2010, eight determined women made it through the jungle of darkness to find the Outrageous Omicron Chapter at the State University of New York College at New Paltz.

Prior to the birth of the Outrageous Omicron Chapter, these eight women along with other individuals devised a plan and created an identity for themselves to promote what they would soon become. The group of women were able to prove to the Hermanas how determined they were but also wanted to prove to the SUNY New Paltz campus why they belonged there. Throughout the years, the group of women experienced highs and lows but finally were granted to become members of the organization through the university's councils. 

 

By definition an Outrageous Diva always strives to go beyond reasonable doubts and limitations. As Outrageous individuals we are taught to do everything and anything beyond our limits and execute everything that we do. Throughout the entity's 5 years of existence, we have successfully inducted over 15 hardworking and dedicated Hermanas in the order that follows. In Spring 2010, our 8 Founders became members of our organization with 3 Hermanas of the Omicron Alpha Line following in 2011. In Spring 2012, we inducted our very first solo in the Omicron Beta Line. Following Omicron Beta came the Omicron Gamma line with two dedicated Hermanas in Fall 2013. Last but not least, we inducted 3 more Hermanas in the Omicron Delta line in Spring 2015.
